St. John’s is located on six acres along Carmel Road in southeast Charlotte in what is generally referred to as the South Park area. The primary structure on our campus is a 52,000 square foot building that comprises our sanctuary, parish hall, kitchen, youth rooms, choir room, children’s chapel, classrooms, and church offices.

Our sanctuary seats 450 people and features beautiful stained glass windows that were designed by Brenda Belfield. An elevated choir loft at the rear of the nave is home to our Brunzama three manual tracker pipe organ.

The new wing of our building houses the St. John’s Preschool and our church bookstore on its first floor. The second floor contains classrooms, the children’s chapel, the kitchen and the parish hall. Our kitchen is professionally equipped for preparing, storing, and serving large quantities of food for special events and receptions. The parish hall, which is equipped with state of the art audio and video presentation and recording equipment, is capable of seating 250 people for a sit down dinner or 350 people for a presentation or meeting.  The parish hall is also home to our Contemporary Service each Sunday morning.  The third floor contains classrooms and our youth chapel and is dedicated specifically to serving our youth program.

Our campus grounds are graced with the Fred R. Young Memorial Garden, which includes a memorial fountain and our columbarium. On the west side of our campus is our state certified preschool playground and the Scout hut that serves Scout Troop 116. The Scout hut includes the ‘Wall of Eagles’ commemorating the 206 Eagle Scouts who have graduated to date from Troop 116.

The St. John’s facilities are heavily used seven days a week both by our own members and by outside community groups.
