This is our thirteenth consecutive year of fighting hunger and hunger-related disease, and we cannot wait for the big event on February 24th and 25th, 2012. We are also really excited about the theme for our 30 Hour Famine this year: Faminestock! As the event gets closer we will have lots of information on this page (event schedule, volunteer opportunities, etc.) so please be sure to stop by from time to time to learn more. In the meantime, we welcome your prayers for the youth of St. John’s (and for the youth at other churches) as they work to spread the word about global hunger, and to raise money to do something about it!
Support the 30 Hour Famine…Eat Pizza! On Sunday, February 19th, the Brixx Pizza at Foxcroft will contribute a portion of their sales of pizzas to support the 30 Hour Famine. Just bring in the form to let them know you are there to support the 30 Hour Famine, and you will help in the fight against hunger! (And you can use it if you come in for Theology on Tap too!) You can pick up a form at church, or share the electronic version from the church website. So whether it is for brunch, lunch, dinner, or a snack, we hope to see you and your friends at Brixx on February 19th!
