Children's Chapel Leaders and Musicians: Visit our page
Children‘s Chapel is a vital part of our children‘s faith development as they experience the rituals and traditions of the church. St. John‘s offers a children‘s chapel during the 8:45 worship service for children 3 years old through first grade on the second, third and fourth Sundays of each month during the school year. The children go upstairs to "big church" for a children‘s sermon on the second Sunday. Parent volunteers assist in leading the service. Musicians who play piano or guitar are needed to lead the children in the hymns.

Children's Sunday School Teachers: Visit our page
Sunday School takes place from 10:05 until 11:00 am. During that time, the children and youth are taught God‘s Word and how it can be relevant in their daily life. Our Sunday School utilizes the David C. Cook Anglican curriculum, a biblically based curriculum that weaves through both the Old and New Testament teaching the stories that are fundamental to the Christian faith. The 6th and 7th grade and the 9th-12th grade classes also use the David C. Cook "Real Life Downloads," which deal with current events and issues that face youth today. Students in the
8th grade spend the year preparing for Confirmation, utilizing the Young Alpha course with supplemental teaching of church doctrine and history. All of our dedicated teachers are volunteers and we are always happy to add to the
ranks!

Nursery Care:
Childcare is provided for Infants, Toddlers, and Two year olds from 8:30 through 12:30 in rooms 133, 134, and 135. This provides nursery during the 8:45 and 11:15 services as well as during Sunday School. St. John‘s employs three sitters from a childcare service that is licensed and bonded. However, we also ask parents of these children to volunteer several times throughout the year to assist during worship and the education hour.
