Columbarium and Memorial Garden Committee
St. John’s is blessed to have a beautiful memorial garden that is enjoyed by members and guests alike. It is more than a gravesite; it is a place to enjoy the beauty of God’s bounty, to worship, to meditate, to play and a place to offer thanks for the gifts we are given. The garden has always been lovingly maintained by the members of St. John’s. There are many ways to join in this ministry. We try to have a couple of big work days each year and can always use help. There is a list of willing volunteers who can be called on when we need special jobs done (plants moved, limbs sawed, limbs taken to the trash, mulch spread, dirt moved, etc.). Much of the care for the garden is done on a very flexible schedule. We love to have volunteers that can drop by the garden on their own schedule or with a friend to weed, pick up sticks, and help with odd jobs.
If you would like to have your name added to our list to help out in any way, we would love to hear from you.

Handyman Corps
The many “projects” (painting rooms, cleaning out storage spaces, planting and gardening, light carpentry, etc.) that need to be done around St. John’s are tracked and individuals or families can contact the coordinator and volunteer to take a project on that fits with their schedule.

Set-up Team for Contemporary Service
Set-up Team for the Contemporary Service helps convert the Parish Hall into a Worship Space. We set up the laptop for projecting the service, set the altar and communion elements [Altar Guild contemporary style which includes setting a Credence Table and smaller table at the entrance of the room for the Bread and Wine], put handouts on seats, help the band members get speakers/amps “connected” with the audio cables, put out banners and make sure we’re ready for worship by 9:30am in the Summer months, and by 8:15am in the Fall.
