The Search Committee is off to a great start! They had an evening of fun at the end of July to get acquainted with each other. On August 12th they had their first working session with additional sessions scheduled for August 17th and 18th. Weekly meetings are scheduled for the next few months or until such time as the schedule needs to be modified, depending on the volume of work.

So that parish members will be able to easily identify our Search Committee members, we have prepared special name tags for them to wear on Sundays. Look for green name tags and feel free to ask questions about how things are going.

Please know that the only information that will be confidential to the committee is the name of the candidates who are interested in St. John’s. Information about where they are in the process and how the search is going may be shared with all members of the church.

Plans are underway to identify a communication liaison from the Committee who will continue providing updates in The Voice as well as other methods of communication as needs arise. Please keep the Search Committee in your prayers as they continue the work necessary to enable the Vestry to call our next Rector.
