New Testament Studies

Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM in the Parish Hall.

This course provides an in-depth look at the New Testament with Rev. Dr. Robert Cooley, former Dean and President of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, as your guide. Studying the New Testament can be an exciting and sometimes, an intimidating experience. This study of the New Testament is designed to make the adventure less daunting and more rewarding. The class surveys the contents of the New Testament and introduces members to the key themes of each book, demonstrating how Jesus Christ fulfilled God’s plan for his people.

Dr. Bob Cooley's class schedule for January through March, 2008 is as follows:

Every Sunday morning (10:00 a.m. in the Parish Hall), except January 27.

Here is what Marty McCarthy has to say about Bob Cooley's teaching:

" Friends, I wish I had words that were strong enough to compel you to class with Bob Cooley. I have had attendees say to me, “I have two advanced degrees, and I have never heard teaching this good.” But you don’t need an advanced degree to appreciate that his teaching is clear, understandable, and revealing of the Scriptures. He is a highly regarded archeologist (I have visited his museum at the Anglican Cathedral in Jerusalem). He is also a highly regarded Biblical scholar and teacher. Many people have changed their Sunday mornings to be certain they do not miss his class (10:00 to 11:00 a.m.). I hope you will give the class a chance. I expect that if you do, you will continue. See you in class!!!"
