...after you've washed and returned the last casserole dish?
...after the divorce papers have been served and the bottom falls out?
...after the last child honks the horn, waves, and drives away - and the house suddenly seems incredibly empty?
...after you arrive home following the funeral service and emotions you've held at bay come crashing in on you?

Stephen Ministers at St. John's are the 'After People'.  We are ready to come alongside you - or a friend or family member - and provide comfort and support for as long after as we are needed.

Stephen Ministers are members of the St. John's congregation who are recruited, selected, trained, commissioned, and supervised by Stephen Leaders to provide one-to-one Christian care to persons in need on behalf of the congregation.  Stephen Ministers typically are assigned one care receiver at a time and meet with that person for about one hour each week.  Stephen Ministers usually serve for two years, which includes an initial 50 hours of training followed by twice-monthly supervision and continuing education sessions.

Need a Stephen Minister?

As the motto states, Stephen Minister's are the After People, and are here to serve you or your loved ones when tragedy strikes.  St. John's Stephen Ministry is committed to seeing you through the tough times, and is dedicated to serving Christ by helping others.  Further, to ensure an open dialog and to get help to the people who need it, all communication and support is confidential.  For more information, or if you need assistance for yourself or a friend, please contact Rev. Gale Cooper at St. John's or contact the Church office.
