Available Now

While visiting the bookstore this month, please take a moment to read through Rick Warren's “The Purpose Driven Life”.  Rick Warren helps readers to discover, develop, and fulfill God's purpose for their lives.  This book is part of our Adult Education program and is available in standard & minuature editions (it is meant to be read over 40 days, so having both will enable you to take it with you to work or on trips!).
St. John's Bookstore

Welcome to the St. John's Bookstore, operated on a continual basis by volunteers, and managed from inception by Barbara Hodge.  After the opening of our new Parish Hall & expanding the St. John's facility, the bookstore has seen tremendous growth in both the depth & breadth of products.  Books, Baptismal gifts, decorative note cards, and stunning hanging wall crosses can all be purchased at the St. John's bookstore.  The bookstore is open Sundays from 9:30am to 12:30pm.  During the week, please contact the church office to arrange a convenient time to purchase a special item.

Recommended Selection

Recommended by our own Rev. Gale Cooper, Associate Rector at St. John's, 'My Utmost for His Highest' by Oswald Chambers is an excellent resource for anyone struggling to find clarity in their faith.

Originally written in 1935, the revised editions offer updated-language daily devotionals that have become an enduring favorite precisely because Oswald Chambers decided to use his spiritual gifts so wisely and generously.  From lectures given at the Bible Training College in London, to nightly talks in an Egyptian YMCA during World War I, Chambers’ observations lend a powerful spiritual dimension to your walk with God.

'My Utmost for His Highest' has inspired CD's of devotionals, and was given to outgoing Vestry members of St. John's by Marty as thanks for their service.  Copies of this book are available for order from our bookstore or at booksellers everywhere.
