| | It is relatively easy to understand the message of each window of stained glass simply by looking at them. However, to truly know their meaning it is useful to have an explanation of each window and its contents. The file below, created by Terry Ertel, details specifics about each image, their meaning, and related Bible excerpts. It is intended to be printed on 8.5" x 14" page (legal size), double-sided, and then folded in the middle. Prints are also available at our church office.

| | Want to take a piece of St. John's stained glass with you? The links below are designed to be used as background images for your laptop or PC desktop. Both files include three (3) of St. John's stained glass windows that represent important areas of Christ's impact on our daily lives. These include "The Sacrament of Marriage", "The Sacrament of Communion", and "The Sacrament of Confirmation".
There are two files to choose from: The "Brilliant Colors" file has the normal colors of the glass as if viewed in person. The other, "Muted Colors" is modified so that the images are not as striking. This makes it easier to distinguish icons on your desktop. For Internet Explorer users, simply click on the link below. After the picture has finished loading in a new browser, 'right-click' the image and then select 'Set as Background'. This will put the picture as the background image on your desktop.

| | There is no finer reflection of the sun's light than when through the stained glassed images of His many blessings. At St. John's these expressions represent the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, Communion, Marriage, Healing, and Reconciliation, as well as others. The stained glass windows serve to beautify our Sanctuary, and to remind each of us in the congregation of the inner grace achieved through Faith.
The digital pictures below were taken not only to preserve these images, but to share the simple beauty of the glass with all who are interested. Although the pictures on this page are reduced in size to facilitate faster viewing online, you can click on each individual image to view them in higher resolution. We hope you enjoy this tour of our stained glass!
