About the Preschool
St. John's Preschool began in 1971 as a Mother's Morning Out program. In the past 35 years it has grown to become a fully accredited center for individual growth among children from ages 12 Months to Transitional Kindergarten.
Our philosophy is based on the understanding that children need to be allowed to grow and develop at their own pace, in an environment which builds self-esteem. The program is based on developmentally appropriate concepts and activities that relate to the growth of the whole child. St. John's strives to meet the emotional, physical, social and intellectual needs of the child. In 2005, we entered a new era of St. John's Preschool and a vision to be the best preschool program in the area. Our goals are to offer students a good balance of play & teaching, along with a very qualified staff and excellent communication with parents.
Our Director
In addition to the many hardworking teachers, staff, and volunteers, St. John's Preschool is fortunate to have an experienced, dedicated, and supportive director in Jenny Taylor (704-366-3676). Jenny is from Jackson, MI where she earned a B.A. from Albion College. She has worked in Charlotte area preschool programs as both educator and administrator since 1998.
